Hello, my name is Michelle

My art is generally meant to express a feeling more than an actual idea. Feel free to throw me an ask. I always reply. c:

My tumblr: iamwhatonearth.tumblr.com Singing: Me Recording: my sister @anniemaldoe on instagram “Why won’t my mom approve of me dating white dudes?”

Wasabi and Ginger Bulbasaur. c: I never eat it so I just make stuff out of it. XD
Camera was bad so tried to photo edit a lot to make up for it. ^^;
Check my page for a frog and cat too. (Posted at almost the beginning of my blog)

So I helped my sister and cousin make macaroons yesterday. I know, it’s pretty majestic… I never asked to be given so much talent. #cries
(I just noticed that the text at the top could be hard to read. I highlighted the part that says “A successfully baked macaroon has “feet”.)

What do you look like?

I’m an Asian girl with blue and black hair. Already did a self portrait, I would say not that far off from what I actually look like. http://iamwhatonearth.tumblr.com/post/78191024405/wheee-did-some-cutiesy-self-portrait-thing-now

Whee, ended up deviating from my original idea a lot in the painting phase but I’m really happy with how it came out.

You can see my original concept here: http://iamwhatonearth.tumblr.com/post/77855967178/girl-holding-the-moon-sculpture-concept-drawing

I’m calling this The Woman Who Holds the Moon. The painting on the white side is inspired by Tim Burton’s White Queen.

My new varnish is way better than my old one! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy spray on varnishes for your clay pieces. It ends up sticky and may never dry right. I switched to a brush on, water based varnish for furniture and that does the trick.

I was having trouble remembering some things for Chemistry so I’ve done some drawings with fun ways to remember.
This one is Strong Bases. The rest are Solubility Rules, Strong Acids, and Diatomic Elements. I might post more in the future, depends if I feel like I need it.

I will release one a day. This one is Strong Acids. The last two were Diatomic Elements and Solubility Rules. The last one is Strong Bases. Follow me to see the rest!

where did you learn to sculpt? your stuff is pretty good :)

Thank you! Only personal experience and online tutorials. I’m a do it yourselfer. Haha. I did read some books on drawing, slightly on painting. Never for sculpting though. For the most part I noticed you just need to learn some techniques then you can apply it to anything. But of course, having a good eye and hand eye coordination is important and I think that’s where my 2d art skills help out. Some sculpting things I do are similar to how I approach drawing.
